Perth Glory can confirm that midfielder Chris Donnell has been signed by English Premier League side Fulham for an undisclosed fee.
The 19-year-old progressed through the ranks of the PGFC Academy before making his senior debut in an FFA Cup Playoff against Melbourne Victory in November 2021.
He went on to make three ISUZU UTE A-League appearances during the 2021/22 campaign and featured on one occasion last season.
Glory Head of Recruitment, Andy Keogh, believes that the Australia Under-20 international is very capable of taking the next step on his football journey in the UK.
“We are delighted to have secured this deal for Chris,” he said.
“He has worked consistently over the last two years to earn this opportunity.
“Fulham is a club at the pinnacle and our relationship with them is one we hope to see flourish in the future.
“This move shows the strength of our Academy set up and the direction we are moving in.”
Those sentiments were echoed by Glory CEO, Anthony Radich.
“This is an incredible opportunity for Chris to continue his development with Fulham,” he said.
“I am sure he will continue to do himself and Perth Glory Football Club proud”
“I would like to wish him the very best of luck and great success in his exciting football journey ahead.”
Further squad announcements will be made shortly.
