My son Alec was asked by his local soccer club to walk on the field with Sydney FC on Saturday night. All week he was looking forward to the event, and couldn-t wait to walk onto the Sydney pitch.
Although he didn-t get to walk out with the Sydney team, he doesn-t stop taking about meeting your #35 player (Dean Heffernan) and how he looked after him.
His birthday is this month and says it-s the best birthday present ever.
Thank you #35 for going the extra mile to make his night special. It was a fabulous match to watch too!
The only down side – he-s now a Perth Glory fan, in a house hold of Sydney supporters!
