DE VANNA BECOMES FOURTH MATILDA TO JOIN PERTH

Perth Glory Women is pleased to announce that inaugural player Lisa De Vanna has signed on to join the Westfield W-League club for season 2012/13.

De Vanna joins captain Collette McCallum, Kate Gill and Aivi Luik as the other current Westfield Matildas in the Perth Glory squad.

The 27-year old striker played seasons one and two with Perth, scoring five goals in 12 matches, before stints overseas and with Brisbane Roar and Newcastle Jets in the past two Westfield W-League seasons.

Joining the club from Swedish giants Linköpings FC, De Vanna will meet up with the team next week in Newcastle ahead of the Glory-s clash with her old side Newcastle Jets.

Coach Jamie Harnwell is understandably thrilled with another quality signing.

“There has been plenty of speculation whether she would join us or not, but we are thrilled that we can now officially announce it,” said Harnwell.

“Everyone knows that she is one of the world-s best strikers and her partnership up front with Kate Gill will go a long way in helping achieve our goal of finals football.”

De Vanna will wear the number 11 shirt for Perth Glory.

This weekend will see Perth Glory play away to new club Western Sydney Wanderers at Campbelltown Stadium on Saturday 3 November at 11am Perth time.
