Many of those fans were still finding their seats when Filippo Terracciano opened the scoring with a close-range finish and that was followed by a quickfire brace from Noah Okafor which took the Rossoneri out to a 3-0 lead inside the opening 25 minutes.

Christian Commotto added number four from the penalty spot, stepping up to take responsibility himself having been bundled over in the box by Brian Kaltak and a crisp finish from Samuel Chukwueze ensured that Milan took a five-goal lead into the break.

If Glory were hoping for some respite at the start of the second half, they did not find it as substitute Rafael Leao raced clear on goal just 15 seconds after the restart and calmly slotted past Oli Sail.

Mattia Liberali and Alexis Saelemaekers combined neatly to create a sixth goal for Ricci just short of the hour-mark, but Glory kept battling away and proceeded to create their two best chances of the night.

The first fell to Joel Anasmo who was played in on goal after Josh Risdon and Adam Bugarija linked up cleverly, but the winger spooned his shot over and wide of the target.

Nathanael Blair then went even closer to pulling one back for Glory as he too found himself in a one-on-one situation, but substitute goalkeeper Pietro Terracciano made a fine, sprawling save.

Having survived those scares, Milan responded with two late goals, Yunus Musah firing into the roof of the net from a tight angle and the imperious Portuguese international Leao heading home to round out the scoring four minutes from time.
