Millie Farrow bagged her seventh goal of the season to give the hosts the lead midway through the first half, before Kyah Simon headed the Mariners level in first-half stoppage-time.

And the visitors pulled away in the latter stages as Bianca Galic scored from range and substitute Annalise Rasmussen forced in a third.

Keen to secure a win which could have seen them climb as high as fourth on the congested Liberty A-League table, Glory made light of the extremely hot conditions to set a high tempo in the early stages.

And their industry was rewarded in the 25th minute when Sofia Sakalis dinked a ball into the box and Farrow rolled off her marker before drilling in what was her first goal for the club at Macedonia Park.

But the Mariners responded well to the setback and moments after Simon had sent a shot crashing against the junction of post and bar, the Matildas forward climbed highest to meet Bianca Galic’s cross and head her side level.

Glory attempted to force the issue once again at the start of the second half, but they found the Central Coast defence in unyielding mood and instead conceded a sucker punch of a goal 14 minutes from time.

Having claimed an assist for her side’s opener, Galic bagged this one herself, rifling in a stunning shot from outside the box which gave Morgan Aquino in the Glory goal no chance whatsoever.

And as the women in purple threw bodies forward in search of a late equaliser, they were undone on the break as Rasmussen surged into the box and despite the best efforts of Aquino, her shot limped its way over the line.
