Lady reds next on the agenda for glory

Perth Glory will fly to South Australia later this afternoon ahead of tomorrow’s must-win Westfield W-League clash against Adelaide United at Hindmarsh Stadium.

Perth Glory will fly to South Australia later this afternoon ahead of tomorrow-s must-win Westfield W-League clash against Adelaide United at Hindmarsh Stadium.

The Glory is coming off a shock 5-1 loss to reigning Champions Sydney FC, while last week the Lady Reds suffered a massive 7-1 thumping at the hands of Newcastle Jets.

Perth has defeated Adelaide in each of their four encounters, while bagging 11 goals along the way.

Glory captain Tanya Oxtoby says the team can-t wait for the match to kick off, but warns that complacency is something they will need to avoid.

“I think we-ve all put the Sydney match behind us and learnt where we went wrong last Sunday,” she said.

“This week-s training has been really upbeat and we-re very much looking forward to the game.

“Any team that takes Adelaide lightly are taking a massive risk as they have shown that they can play good football in patches.

“At the moment it-s just one game at a time for us and we need to win tomorrow before even thinking about next week.”

Kick-off against Adelaide United is at 12pm Perth time.

The match will be broadcast on ABC1 from 3pm Saturday.
