Perth Glory is delighted to announce that goalkeeper Cameron Cook and defender Joseph Forde have both signed two-year contract extensions with the club.
Cook, aged 20, made his ISUZU UTE A-League debut against Melbourne Victory in Round 3 of last season, having previously impressed for the PGFC Academy First Team and he ended the campaign with six senior starts and one substitute appearance to his name.
18-year-old Forrestfield local Forde, meanwhile, also gained his first taste of A-League football during the 2021/22 campaign, eventually featuring on six occasions in total and impressing with both his tenacious defending and composure in possession.
The talented duo are relishing the prospect of taking the next step on their respective career pathways with Glory.
“I’m excited to continue my journey with Glory,” said Cook, “and am looking forward to seeing what the future holds.
“It was amazing to get my A-League debut last season and I’m hoping for more opportunities in the season ahead.”
“I’m delighted and honoured in the most humble way to have signed a two-year contract with the club,” added Forde.
“It has always been a goal of mine and I’m very excited for the upcoming season and what’s to come in the future.”
Glory Head of Recruitment Andy Keogh believes that Cook and Forde are among the brightest young prospects in the country.
“We are delighted to have secured both players to PGFC for the next two seasons,” he said.
“Cameron has shown his potential when given the chance and the next two season are massive for his development.
“Joseph was a real standout in the back end of the season and with his attributes and desire to learn, we feel he could become a great asset to the club going forward and to Australia in the future.”
