Glory’s pre-season campaign will resume on Wednesday 25 September when the men in purple take on the Gold Fields WA State Team in the traditional annual Challenge Cup clash.
The game will take place at the Sam Kerr Football Centre with a kick-off time of 7pm and admission is FREE.
The State Team squad, which will be named after this weekend’s Top Four Cup action, is expected to include a number of former Glory players who have starred in this season’s NPL WA competition.
Last year’s corresponding fixture ended in a 3-0 victory for Glory, with David Williams (2) and Antonis Martis supplying the goals.
Following Wednesday’s outing, Glory will continue their pre-season preparations by taking on A-League rivals Newcastle Jets in Bunbury (Sunday 29 September, kick-off at 3pm, tickets available HERE) and Albany (Wednesday 2 October, kick-off at 4pm, tickets available HERE).
