Australian Professional Leagues (APL) have today announced the 2024/25 A-League Women’s fixtures and it’s shaping up to be a thrilling campaign for Glory’s new-look squad!
Now known as the Ninja A-League following the unveiling of new naming partners, the competition will see each club playing 23 games between early November and mid-April, with Glory set to play ten of those in Perth.
The club’s new ALW home venue, the Sam Kerr Football Centre, will host nine of the fixtures, while one is set to take place at HBF Park as part of a massive ALW/ALM double-header on Sunday 10 November.
Newly-appointed Glory Head Coach Stephen Peters will take charge of his side for the first time on Sunday 3 November when they face an exciting challenge in the form of a Round One trip to reigning Premiers Melbourne City.
The Women’s first home game, meanwhile, is the eagerly-anticipated double-header on Sunday 10 November when Newcastle Jets will be the visitors to HBF Park.
The opening month of the campaign is then rounded off with a visit to Brisbane Roar and a Unite Round match-up with old foes Canberra United in Sydney.
Following the FIFA international break, Glory return to action by hosting Melbourne Victory and Adelaide United at the Sam Kerr Football Centre on Sunday 8 December and Sunday 15 December and after visiting Western Sydney Wanderers in Round 7, will be home again on Saturday 28 December when Central Coast Mariners will provide the opposition.
Three of the club’s opening four games of 2025 are on the road, the exception being a mouth-watering home showdown with reigning Champions Sydney FC on Friday 10 January and then it’s back to the Sam Kerr Football Centre on Australia Day for a meeting with Brisbane Roar.
February opens with away trips to Canberra United and Adelaide United, before Wellington Phoenix make the long journey west on Sunday 16th.
The second FIFA international break precedes a hectic month of March in which Glory travel to Newcastle Jets and Central Coast Mariners, while also hosting Western United (Friday 7 March), Western Sydney Wanderers (Saturday 22 March) and Canberra United (Saturday 29 March).
And the regular season then concludes following the third FIFA international break with an away game against Sydney FC and a potentially huge home clash with Melbourne City on Friday 18 April.
As per the 2023/24 season, the top six sides will qualify for the Ninja A-League 2025 Finals Series which will kick off on 25-27 April, with the Grand Final scheduled for the weekend of
16-18 May.
The 2025 Finals Series will follow last season’s format with two Elimination Finals from which the two winners advance to a two-legged Semi Final against the top two sides.
The winners of those games then qualify for the Grand Final.
