After a big win against Melbourne Victory on Wednesday morning, Perth Glory Youth are back in action this morning when they make the trip to the AJ Kelly Field to take on Foxtel National Youth League Conference A league leaders Brisbane Roar.
John Gibson’s side made it back-to-back wins with the 2-0 win against Melbourne Victory.
The squad headed straight to Brisbane from Melbourne to prepare for Sunday’s game and defender Scott Robertson said the players have worked hard in all aspects of their game.
“Both of the wins against the Victory were well-deserved, our shape and structure were excellent in both games, and we stuck to our game plan and it paid off,” he said.
“We created lots of chances and could’ve had more goals, but were really happy to get the clean sheet we deserved. The group is full of confidence heading into Sunday’s game, but we are well aware of the threat they pose.
“But we now if we play to our game plan and stick together we can get the three points and that will make to six points on this road trip which is crucial for our season” he said.
Kick-off is at 8.30am WA time.
