Glory are now just two points off fourth and must beat Newcastle next Sunday at Members Equity Stadium and rely on other results to get through but it is an incredible turnaround after being written off a month earlier.
Perth will take part in the final game of next weekend-s round and will know their fate before the opening whistle. The West Aussies will be hoping Melbourne lose to Central Coast and Sydney either lose or draw against Adelaide to make their match a live rubber.
Marianna Tabain scored for the second week in a row to give Perth the lead and was joined on the scoreboard by Matilda midfielder Collette McCallum before Elisa D-Ovidio put the icing on the cake with four minutes to play.
Perth-s propensity to concede late goals gave Adelaide a consolation in injury time however that didn-t take any of the gloss off a wonderful performance from the Glory who richly deserved their victory.
