Glory to face Inglewood in latest pre-season friendly

Glory’s pre-season campaign is set to continue on Thursday (1st September) with a friendly fixture against NPL WA outfit Inglewood United at Inglewood Stadium (kick-off at 7pm – tickets available HERE and via the QR code below…)

The fixture will be Glory’s second pre-season outing following the 4-1 win over Perth SC at Dorrien Gardens earlier this month and Head Coach Ruben Zadkovich is looking forward to the test.

“It’s great to have a competitive game,” he said.

“The in-house trial games are good, but there are a few [players] with the handbrake on because they’re playing against their mates, so the Perth SC game was great for us to put a couple of things in place and go through a few patterns and structures with the ball.

“There’s a bit of defensive stuff that we definitely need to rectify from the last three or four weeks and the back end of last year, so we’ve been working really hard on the training ground, but there’s no substitute for games and we’re stoked to have Inglewood put on this game for us.

“Touch wood, most of the guys are on the pitch and fit and we’ve done a pretty tidy job of patching them all up and getting them there now.

“The new ones have settled in well and I think we’ll see minutes from almost all of them.

“It’s a great set-up at Inglewood and you’re really close to the sideline, so we’d love to see all our Members and fans come down and meet the players and staff.

“It should be a nice occasion and it would be great to see a good turnout.”
