Glory skipper Taggart named in latest Socceroos squad

Perth Glory ALM skipper Adam Taggart has today been named in an extended 25-man squad for Australia’s upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers against Bangladesh and Palestine.

The fixtures represent the final stage of Second Round Qualification for the Socceroos, who have already secured
their place in the Third Round following four consecutive wins.

The squad will assemble in Thailand for an extended training camp before travelling to Bangladesh ahead of their fixture at Bashundhara Kings Arena in Dhaka on Thursday 6 June.

Following that clash with Bangladesh, Graham Arnold’s men will face Palestine at HBF Park on Tuesday 11 June, the first time the Socceroos have played in Perth since 2018.

Taggart has enjoyed a remarkable 12 months, taking out the 2023-24 A-League Golden Boot, scoring for the A-League All Stars in their thumping win over Newcastle United and collecting a string of club honours, including the 2024 Most Glorious Player Award.

Tickets for the Socceroos v Palestine game can be purchased HERE.

Kick-off at HBF Park is at 8:05pm WST.
