Glory sign two teenage talents on scholarship contracts

Perth Glory is delighted to confirm that highly-rated teenagers Anthony Didulica and Riley Foxe have signed scholarship contracts with the club.

A gifted number ten who can also play out wide, 17-year-old Didulica came through the Academy system at Western United and burst onto the international scene last year when he earned a share of the Golden Boot as the Joeys won the ASEAN Under-16 Boys’ Championship in Indonesia.

After signing what is his first professional contract, a three-year scholarship, he can be registered to play from January 6th when the transfer window opens.

Foxe, meanwhile, is a rangy and strong central defender who was also previously a part of the Academy set-up at Western United and joins Glory on a two-year scholarship.

The 17-year-old is the son of former West Ham United, Portsmouth, Leeds United and Socceroos defender Hayden Foxe who also played for Glory and was Assistant Coach to Tony Popovic when the club won the A-League Premiership in 2018/19.

Glory Football Director Stan Lazaridis believes that both Didulica and Foxe have huge potential.

“We’re really excited to have secured two very bright young talents in Anthony and Riley,” he said.

“Anthony is a clever, creative player who can unlock defences, score goals and create chances for others, while Riley is a composed and commanding centre-back, very similar to his dad.

“We’re looking forward to seeing both lads continue their development with us over the course of their scholarship deals.”
