Young defender Matthew Davies and Perth Glory FC have mutually agreed to terminate the player’s contract to allow the 20-year old to pursue alternate football opportunities in the Malaysia Super League.
Perth born Davies joined Perth Glory FC in 2013 making 16 senior appearances for the club in that time.
Davies said he had enjoyed his two year stint with Glory but felt the time was right to explore other opportunities.
“First of all I’d like to thank the members, fans and supporters for their continued loyalty. It’s been a difficult decision to leave a club which has been at the top of the table for most of the season but I feel this is the best move for my career going forward” Davies said.
Glory will host Sydney FC this Friday night, April 10 in what’s being billed as blockbuster clash.
A win will keep Glory at the top of the table.
