Perth Glory have partnered with Gold Road Resources who will play a key role in supporting the club’s ongoing commitment to women’s football.

Founded in 2004, Gold Road Resources is a gold development company which is currently building Australia’s next major goldmine, Gruyere Gold Project, in the Yamarna Belt, situated 200km east of Laverton here in WA.

Given its dynamic, innovative and forward-thinking approach, Perth Glory CEO Tony Pignata feels that Gold Road Resources is perfectly placed to help drive the hugely-exciting developments currently taking place in women’s football.

“The profile of women’s football in this country has never been higher,” he said, “and we believe at Perth Glory that we are playing a lead role in that development.

“Gold Road Resources are similarly committed to growing the game and we look forward to working closely with them in our efforts to take it to the next level.”

Those sentiments were echoed by Gold Road Resources Executive Director Exploration & Growth, Justin Osborne.

“We are delighted to be involved with Perth Glory and women’s football at what is such an exciting time for both the club and the sport in general,” he said.

“This partnership will boost the game here in WA, from the aspiring young girls attending the free football clinic that we will be hosting with Perth Glory, to the established players of the club’s Westfield W-League team, such as global superstar, Sam Kerr.”
