Glory’s second pre-season friendly has been locked in for Tuesday 20 August when the men in purple will head to Percy Doyle Reserve to take on Sorrento FC (kick-off at 7pm, admission FREE).
The Gulls have enjoyed a stunning State League campaign this year, already securing promotion back to the NPL WA at the first attempt and setting a new, all-time competition record of 16 consecutive wins in the process.
Two former Glory favourites have overseen their success, namely Head Coach Steven McGarry and Player Assistant Coach Neil Kilkenny, while Dean Cummings has been on fire up front, scoring 28 goals, six of which came in last week’s 7-1 demolition of Cockburn City.
Glory’s only pre-season outing to date ended in a 4-2 victory over Armadale SC last month.
Since then, David Zdrilic’s side have enjoyed two Australia Cup wins over Brisbane Roar and most recently, Melbourne City, scoring nine goals across the two games.
The kitchen at Percy Doyle Reserve will be open from 6.30pm on Tuesday evening and full bar facilities will also be available.
