The club is delighted to confirm John Curtin College of the Arts and St.Andrew’s Grammar as the first two flagship schools to partner with the PGFC Academy.
The partnership will see both schools roll out a 12-month program which provides a unique opportunity for highly-motivated young players to develop their football through additional training sessions, while also enabling them to continue with their education.
Focusing upon individual players and personal development within a team environment, the program aims to maximize each participant’s athletic and academic potential, expands opportunities for talent identification and provide a pathway into the elite, two-star PGFC Academy.
Perth Glory Football Director Jacob Burns believes that the partnership is a hugely-exciting development for both the club and the schools involved.
“We are breaking new ground here,” he said, “and are delighted that John Curtin College of the Arts and St.Andrew’s Grammar share our vision of a program which ensures that talented young players are given the best possible chance to progress in the game, while also fulfilling their academic potential.
“As the only two-star rated Academy in WA, we are uniquely positioned to provide an elite professional coaching environment for the boys and girls in the program, allied to a clear, structured pathway towards a career in the game.
“In addition to helping the players maximise their footballing ability, our highly-accredited coaching staff are committed to working alongside the school authorities to create a learning environment that is both nurturing and challenging.

Perth Glory is planning to extend the partnership to include further schools strategically located as part of the club’s commitment to making the Academy curriculum accessible to as many young players in WA as possible.
