Perth Glory is delighted to confirm Breast Cancer Research Centre – WA as a new club charity partner.
Established in 2009, Breast Cancer Research Centre – WA is a clinician-driven and founded organisation which aims to provide the best treatment, undertake high-quality research, deliver broad-based education and provide care and support to breast cancer patients and their loved ones.
Its partnership with Glory will see the Centre allocated a Hyundai A-League match day sponsorship during the upcoming season, along with a range of other assets including permanent, season-long signage at HBF Park.
Glory CEO Tony Pignata believes that the partnership is something that the club’s members and fans will be keen to get behind.
“The work carried out by the Breast Cancer Research Centre – WA is incredibly important and positively impacts tens of thousands of people in this State every year,” he said.
“As a club, we are extremely proud both of our Westfield W-League team and our commitment to women’s football at a wider level and we are similarly proud of this partnership.
“It complements perfectly our other charity partners Parkerville, with their youth focus and DT38 with their work in the adult male sector and I’m sure our supporters will really welcome it.”
Breast Cancer Research Centre – WA CEO Carmelo Arto, meanwhile, is similarly excited by the potential of the partnership.
“As we are soon to move into our world-class integrated breast cancer centre in the first half of 2020,” he said, “this wonderful partnership with Perth Glory allows us to increase awareness of breast cancer and our world-leading research, treatment and support services on offer right here in Perth.”
