Perth Glory FC and Japanese player Ryo Nagai have mutually agreed to end the winger’s second loan spell, which was due to expire at the end of January, allowing him to return to J-League Division 1 side Cerezo Osaka with immediate effect.

Nagai suffered a serious hamstring tear in Round 11 which left him unable to play any further games for the club.
“Ryo has been a fantastic player for this club and has always a favourite amongst the fans because of his attacking flair,” Chief Executive Jason Brewer said.
“We wish him a speedy recovery from his hamstring injury and best wishes for his future career.”
The super-quick Nagai joined the Glory in September 2012 and impressed fans with his ability to play on either side of the park. The former U-19 Japanese Captain played 26 times for Perth Glory over two seasons and scored four goals.
Nagai said he would miss the club and its fans.
“I would like to thank the Perth Glory fans for making me feel welcome during my two years,” he said.
“I have met some great people here and I will take all the positive experiences I have learnt at Perth back to Japan with me.”
