Hot on the heels of a tough away draw against the Newcastle Jets, Perth Glory turns its attention to championship contenders Melbourne Victory at nib Stadium on Saturday night.

Glory may feel robbed it wasn’t able to capitalise on a solid share of the ball, coupled with three shots which smashed against the goal frame and a desperate save by Jets ‘keeper Jack Duncan to deny Adam Taggart from point blank range.

But the Socceroos striker said a run of four undefeated matches had paved the way for a strong feeling of confidence leading into this weekend’s match.

“We’ve got to keep a positive frame of mind and carry on with the momentum we’ve been building” he said.

The match will be the last time the team wears its Heritage Jersey and Taggart urged all Glory fans and members to don the retro kit.

“I love it, it sort of reminds of the old days when I use to go and support the Glory as a kid” he said.

“It’s nice to see we’ve got a bit of tradition back at the club and it takes us back to the Glory days”

“It’s not going to come around again so it’s good to see we’ve got that tradition.

Taggart scored his sixth goal of the season from 7 starts and could be on the scorers sheet against when he and the rest of the boys kick-off the action against Victory at 5pm.
