Glory 10 lend a helping hand to Hero Hunter Foundation

Members of the Perth Glory Fan Representative Group (FRG), the Glory 10, got down and dirty last Friday in aid of a fantastic cause.

The Hero Hunter Foundation (details HERE) provides practical support for the families of children battling cancer and certain blood disorders and our FRG members helped out with a garden renovation at the organisation’s most recent Busy Bee event.

Spades, rakes and barrows were the order of the day as an affected family’s garden was weeded, tidied and mulched and various new features added.

Glory first connected with Hero Hunter Foundation Founder and Director of Operations Kate Bettenay when her son Hunter was diagnosed with Leukaemia in 2016 and it was Hunter’s remarkable courage which inspired the club to twice participate in The World’s Greatest Shave.

Hunter tragically passed away in 2021, since when, Kate, husband Dave and other family members have worked tirelessly to establish and develop what has become an award-winning Foundation.

Their services for affected families include everything from cleaning and maintenance to providing fuel vouchers and fresh, ready-made meals to carers at Perth Children’s Hospital and fishing days.

Perth Glory and The Glory 10 are looking forward to continuing to work closely with the Hero Hunter Foundation to help support the invaluable work they carry out.
