Following Thursday’s confirmation that a member of Glory’s Isuzu Ute A-League squad had tested positive for COVID-19, Head Coach Richard Garcia and CEO Tony Pignata fronted a well-attended Zoom media conference to discuss the latest developments.
With border restrictions meaning that the players and staff could face the prospect of spending Christmas in hotel quarantine in Brisbane, Garcia spoke in depth about the mood in the camp.
Pignata, meanwhile, revealed that the club is in talks with health authorities and police in both Queensland and WA to see if the group can be allowed to return to Perth and complete their quarantine at home over Christmas.
