Perth Glory coach Alistair Edwards says it was an extremely tough decision to release four players as the club continues to regenerate it-s squad for the future.
Out of contract at the end of this month, Nick Ward, Dean Heffernan, Evan Berger and Lewis Italiano have not been offered new deals for next season.
“I-d really like to thank all four players for their services to Perth Glory,” Edwards said.
“It was a tough decision because all four players are quality people and good professionals.
“Unfortunately though, we need to make the necessary changes as we continue to implement our long term plan.
“I wish Nick, Dean, Evan and Lewis all the best for their future endeavours and again thank them for their contribution.”
Perth Glory is currently in discussions with Liam Miller, Steven McGarry, Ryo Nagai and Matias Cordoba who also come out of contract at the end of this month. A decision on their future will be made in due course.
