Glory midfielder Morgan Andrews has spoken of a ‘positive vibe’ within the squad after the women in purple recorded their third successive Westfield W-League win on Saturday afternoon.
The US Under-23 international took her tally to five goals in the last three games as she bagged a brace in the stunning 2-1 victory over reigning champions Sydney FC in Wollongong.

And she insists that it is her teammates’ commitment and determination that has helped them revive their fortunes after an underwhelming first half of the campaign.
“The vibe in the locker-room is really positive and exciting and we’re all dancing and having fun,” she said in the wake of the Sydney win.
“We’re all playing soccer for a reason and part of that is that we enjoy it and want to have fun.
“Of course we’re here to do a job and in the beginning [of the season] it wasn’t really working out the way we wanted it to, but we’ve consistently worked hard throughout the season and it’s finally starting to show, which is exciting.
“We had a short pre-season and some of us were late for the season itself and in the end, sometimes it just doesn’t click.
“But it feels like it’s starting to now and that comes down to the work ethic that the girls put in. It’s been really positive lately.
“They [Sydney FC] are a really good side, full of quality players and today it just came down to grit and who wanted it more and I think we showed that we did.”
The 24-year-old, who has emerged as a strong contender for this year’s Most Glorious Player Award, went on to confirm that she has enjoyed her debut season in the W-League.
“Everyone is adding something of their own to the team which is really special and that’s making it a unique experience,” she said.
“It’s been wonderful. The girls have been super-great and the league is competitive.
“It’s really exciting, I’m enjoying playing and I feel like I’m adding more and more passion to my game.
“I’d love to come back next season.”
Glory return to action this Saturday, 29 February, against Western Sydney Wanderers at Hay Park in Bunbury (kick-off at 7.15pm, tickets HERE).
