In perfect conditions at the State Football Centre, Glory hit the lead via a stunning, 13th-minute free-kick from Sofia Sakalis, before English import Farrow took centre stage.

Susan Phonsongkham provided an inch-perfect through-ball for Farrow’s first goal, with the livewire striker racing in on goal and calmly rounding the advancing Rebecca Bennett before slotting into an empty net.

And after Judy Connolly had been denied by the post in a rare attacking foray from the WA State Team, Farrow struck again, this time Georgia Cassidy marking a bright debut of her own in the heart of midfield by supplying the assist.

With the home side still reeling, Glory made it 4-0 right on the stroke of half-time, Phonsongkham seizing upon a loose pass and teeing up Farrow who crashed an unstoppable shot past Bennett to claim her hat-trick.

The second-half opened with Morgan Aquino going full-length to palm away a Reina Kagami effort, before Epakis took the opportunity to make a raft of substitutions in what was his side’s first competitive pre-season hit-out.

Meaningful chances were at a premium for both teams in the latter stages, although substitute Chloe Lincoln did come close to grabbing Glory’s fifth with a curling effort which flew narrowly wide.
