Perth Glory is delighted to confirm that Daisy McGreadie-Cole, Theodora Mouithys and Hayley Muir have joined the club’s A-League Women’s squad on YDA (Youth Development Agreement) contracts.
McGreadie-Cole is a 16-year-old goalkeeper who has been a standout performer in the NPL WA for Hyundai NTC and also helped steer the WA U16 State Team to a national title at this year’s CommBank Emerging Matildas Championships.
Robust striker Mouithys (17), meanwhile, is another Hyundai NTC representative who has featured for the Commbank Junior Matildas on a regular basis, captaining them on occasion and was recently selected in the squad which will travel to Morocco for next month’s FIFA U17 World Cup.
Joining Mouithys in that Commbank Junior Matildas squad will be dynamic defender Muir (17) who played her junior football at Blacktown Spartans and Macarthur Rams before spending time at the newly-formed Western Sydney Wanderers Academy.
Glory Head Coach Stephen Peters believes that all three players have huge potential.
“We’re very excited to see how Daisy, Theo and Hayley develop within our ALW program here at Glory,” he said.
“Daisy is someone we scouted out of the NPL WA where she produced some outstanding performances last season, Hayley is a livewire defender who I coached previously in New South Wales and Theo is a powerful forward with a genuine eye for goal.
“They are three emerging talents who are thrilled to be taking the next step in their fledgling careers with Perth Glory and it is our job now to get them up to speed in terms of being ALW-ready as soon as possible.
“The ceiling is very high for each of them and we’re very pleased to have them as part of our playing group.”
