If you want to see the cream of Australian women’s football live, up close and unfiltered, this is your chance!
The Matildas, including our very own Sam Kerr, are rolling into town for a friendly against Thailand at nib Stadium on Monday 26 March (kick off 6.00pm) and tickets start from as little as $10 for juniors.
Alen Stajcic’s side are fresh from the Algarve Cup in Portugal where they ulitmately finished fourth having come through the group stage unbeaten.
And the Thailand clash is a key part of their ongoing preparations for the 2018 AFC Women’s Asian Cup which gets underway in Jordan in the first week of April.
The Matildas will be looking to go one better than they did in 2014 when they were edged out by Japan in the final, but to do so they will have to negotiate a tricky group stage which will feature a rematch against Japan plus a meeting with the side that finished fourth at the 2014 tournament, South Korea.
So let’s make sure we give the women a great send off, Perth-style!
