Perth Glory defender Dino Djulbic will only spend a short time on the sidelines after being cleared of serious injury following Sunday-s 2-0 win against Wellington at Members Equity Stadium.
Djulbic was carried from the ground after landing awkwardly on his ankle in the 65th minute and did not take any further part in the match. Tests today on his right ankle ruled out long term damage and it is expected that the tough defender will miss two weeks.
“The pain was excruciating when I first did it but with treatment the ankle has responded really well overnight and it was nice to get some good news today,” Djulbic said.
The 25 year old will miss Perth-s big home clash against Newcastle this Sunday however with a FIFA break scheduled the following week Djulbic could be back in time for the Glory-s road trip to Queensland in late November.
“I never like being in the stands just watching but the diagnosis is as good as I could have hoped and I-ll just concentrate now on my rehab and getting back out there as soon as I can,” Djulbic said.
