The three senior PGFC Academy teams will all be looking to maintain pole position in their respective league tables when they visit Dorrien Gardens to tackle Perth SC this Saturday (Under18s at 11am, Under-20s at 1pm, First Team at 3pm).
John Walmsley’s First Team have collected seven points from their opening three fixtures of the 2023 NPL WA season, downing Balcatta Etna and Armadale SC before overturning a three-goal half-time deficit to secure a 3-3 draw with Bayswater City last time out.
The Under-18s and Under-20s, meanwhile, have made a 100% start to their campaigns, with the 18s scoring 24 goals in their three wins and the 20s bagging 14.
The First Team will be up against a Perth SC side which has recorded one win, one draw and one defeat in its three games to date.
In a further boost for the PGFC Academy, five of its players have been selected to attend a Subway Joeys (Australia Under-17s) training camp later this month.
Attacker Daniel Bennie, goalkeeper Robert Cook, defender Andriano Lebib and midfielders Jaylan Pearman and Corey Sutherland will all head to Narrabeen in New South Wales to press their claims for a place in the Joeys squad which will compete in June’s AFC U-17 Asian Cup in Thailand.
Do get along to Dorrien Gardens this Saturday to support the lads if you can!
