Despotovski at the double as PGFC Academy First Team surge into Night Series Semis

Seb Despotovski scored twice as the PGFC Academy First Team secured a resounding 4-1 victory over Armadale SC on Sunday evening to surge into the semi-finals of the 2025 NPL WA Night Series.

After a goalless first half at Alfred Skeet Reserve, Despotovski broke the deadlock within a minute of the restart before Nathanael Blair doubled Glory’s lead shortly afterwards.

Despotovski’s second goal on the hour-mark all but made the game safe for Joe Heath’s side, with Khoa Ngo duly adding a fourth which rendered Purvish Appadoo’s late reply nothing more than a consolation effort for the hosts.

That victory enabled Glory to secure second spot in Group A, setting up a last four clash with Sorrento FC who finished level on points and goal difference with Stirling Macedonia but managed to clinch top spot courtesy of receiving fewer yellow cards.

The semi-final clash with the Gulls will take place at Percy Doyle Reserve on Sunday 2 March (kick-off at 7:30pm), following on from Stirling’s last four fixture against Group A winners Olympic Kingsway which is scheduled for 5:30pm at the same venue.

Do get along and support the lads if you can!
