Dates set for 2023 PGFC Pre-Academy and Junior Academy trials

Perth Glory is delighted to confirm that the dates have now been set for the club’s 2023 Pre-Academy and Junior Academy (U13-1U16) Trials.

Details of the trial dates for the Pre-Academy and Senior Academy teams will be made available in the near future.

The PGFC Academy continues to go from strength to strength, with a host of players being selected for national teams at various age levels.

Daniel Bennie, Giovanni De Abreu, Andriano Lebib and Corey Sutherland all represented Australia at this year’s FIFA Under-17 World Cup, with Robert Cook and Jonathon Leithead also having been named in the extended squad.

Max and Ruben Argent were called up for New Zealand Under-17s and former Academy First Team skipper Chris Donnell completed a move to English Premier League side Fulham having played for Australia at both Under-20 and Under-23 level.

In total, more than a dozen PGFC Academy players have achieved international recognition in the past year.

Glory’s Elite Player Development model and age-specific curriculum ensures that our Academy players are educated to the highest possible standard and equipped with the tools required to perform at professional level domestically and internationally.

Under the direction of Pro-Licence-holder Kenny Lowe, one of the most highly-regarded youth development coaches in the country, the Academy is operated by an elite team of A-Licence-qualified coaches, analysts, physios and strength and conditioning staff.

As it continues to go from strength to strength, the PGFC Academy is looking forward to another glorious season in 2023/24!
