With nearly half of this 2013/14 Hyundai A-League season completed, Perth Glory would like to thank all of its members, fans and commercial partners for their support to date and for taking our club memberships and home ground match attendances at nib Stadium to the highest levels since the A-League started.
With nearly half of this 2013/14 Hyundai A-League season completed, Perth Glory would like to thank all of its members, fans and commercial partners for their support to date and for taking our club memberships and home ground match attendances at nib Stadium to the highest levels since the A-League started.
We are encouraged by the support shown and with some upcoming home games against Brisbane Roar, Melbourne Victory and Western Sydney Wanderers we will continue to work in whatever way we can with our fans and supporters to further improve the match day experience and get the results to take us into the finals.
There are a number of reasons why our fans and commercial supporters are getting behind football and getting behind Perth Glory this season.
Over the past 12 months nib Stadium has undergone a major A$100m redevelopment by the WA Government and with the brand new Eastside and Southern Stands, the capacity now sits at just over 20,000 people. We are proud to be able to now offer all our supporters and corporate partners a wonderful match day experience where they can come and watch Hyundai A-League football and support the Glory in modern, state of the art facilities.
The new nib Stadium provides a viewing, engagement and entertainment experience like never before with improved food and beverage facilities, bars, merchandise and other amenities.
The Club-s strategy continues to give the best young footballing talent in Western Australia the opportunity to test themselves in the Hyundai A-League alongside some of the most experienced, talented and exciting Australian and overseas players. The success of this strategy has been demonstrated with the Club now sitting in the top 5 in the league and with a number of experienced players returning to the side, a place in the Finals Series is firmly within the Club-s reach.
Football in Western Australia continues to attract the greatest participation across all age groups and the Hyundai A-League continues to captivate the imagination of new fans. With the FIFA World Cup later this year and the AFC Asian Cup in Australia in 2015, the future of football and the strength of our game has never been stronger.
We have a great relationship with the various fan and supporter groups involved with the Club, all of who are actively involved in supporting the club on match day with chants, flags and instruments. We will continue to work tirelessly with all supporters and fan groups to give them and all our partners a memorable and enjoyable match day experience
The Club is committed 100% to providing true fans of Perth Glory with a welcoming family environment and we will not tolerate or condone minority groups that participate in anti-social behaviour in and around our matches. There is no room for it in the modern game and Perth Glory will take whatever action is necessary to prevent it from spoiling what we believe is a wonderful experience for all involved in football.
With the Club looking to cement itself in a finals position, Interim Head Coach, Kenny Lowe and the team are gunning for their third straight win this week and the momentum is building as we head into the latter stages of the season. The Club is urging all supporters and fans to come along this Friday night, to show your support, to make some noise and to get behind the team as they look to test themselves against the Brisbane Roar, the current league leaders.
A win could take the Perth Glory into 3rd position in the league and demonstrate to the other teams in the Hyundai A-League that the glory days really are returning to Perth.
It-s a big game this Friday night and we want you to #BEPARTOFIT!
