Captain Jacob Burns says Perth Glory will need to be at their best to beat the Brisbane Roar in Saturday night-s blockbuster at nib Stadium.

In one of the biggest games this season, Perth Glory third, are just four points away from second placed Brisbane Roar.

“They have been playing some quality football and it-s ‘total football- so we are going to have to be at our best to conquer them,” Burns said.

“It-s a massive game for us and it-s a good chance to get a little bit closer to them and coming into the last few games, it-s where we want to be.”

It-s the second time this year the two sides will clash after a six goal thriller in January ended 3-all, a game Burns felt the Glory should-ve won.

“We showed at home we played them off the park, a couple of mistakes let them in so we are looking to rectify that and go one better.

“But they are a quality team and they have proven that over the last couple of seasons and it-s a great game for us to play.”

The captain says Saturday-s showdown is a huge game but it-s not a mini-final.

“There is no bigger game for us as players.

“It-s what we thrive for, it-s always in the back our minds but we-re not thinking of finals.

“I think the gaffa (coach Ian Ferguson) said it well in the paper today, we are taking it each game as it comes and not getting ahead of ourselves.”

Perth Glory will wear their White ‘away- strips this Saturday night to support Therapy Focus, as part of the White Line Fever match day theme.

“Hopefully all the fans can get out there and wear their white and we can have a big white party,” Burns added.
