The PGFC Academy First Team's 2021 NPL WA campaign came to an end at the Elimination Final stage on Tuesday evening as they were edged out 2-1 by Floreat Athena at E&D Litis Stadium. Having fallen behind in the 13th minute when a low shot from Sean McManus was deflected into his own net by the luckless Aidan Coyne, Glory found themselves 2-0 down early in the second half after Robert Harding drilled home via the underside of the bar.
Perth Glory is delighted to confirm that midfielder Sadie Lawrence has signed with the club for the W-League 2021/22 Season. The 28-year-old returns to the Glory fold having previously made 17 W-League appearances in the famous purple between 2009 and 2012. With ten goals from 21 games for Murdoch University Melville FC, Lawrence has been in stellar form in the NPLW WA this season and the former Australia Under-20s representative is now hugely excited at the prospect of re-igniting her W-League career.

The PGFC Academy First Team are just one game away from a Top Four Cup Final appearance after securing a 3-1 extra-time victory over Sorrento in Saturday's Major Semi-Final clash at Percy Doyle Reserve. Ruben Zadkovich's side found themselves trailing in the first-half to a Chris Jackson goal, but hit back shortly before the break when Josh Anasmo found the net from close range. A goalless second half meant extra-time was required and Glory quickly too control in the opening period, Charlie Leech heading them in front and Adam Zimarino making it 3-1 eight minutes later.
