With only three weeks to go until our Glory Women open their 2023/24 Liberty A-League campaign by taking on Western United at Macedonia Park, it’s time to confirm their squad numbers!
Head Coach Alex Epakis has brought in a sizeable contingent of new recruits this year and they’ve opted for an interesting range of shirt numbers.
Philippines international defender/midfielder Jess Cowart has gone for #3, livewire English import Millie Farrow will wear #9 and fellow-forward Grace Jale is the club’s new #11.
Cowart’s Philippines teammate Quinley Quezada, meanwhile, has opted for #20 and fellow-newcomer Izzy Dalton has also gone high by claiming #23.
With Morgan Aquino retaining #1, new ‘keepers Sally James and Lilly Bailey will wear #24 and #29 respectively, while at the other end of the field, attacking trio Tia Stonehill, Tanika Lala and Anika Stajcic have gone for #14, #26 and #28.
Defender Liz Anton is set to continue to infuriate the shirt number purists as she retains #7 yet again!
