Glory has today confirmed the 26-man squad that will represent the club in its maiden AFC Champions League campaign.
Pitted in Group F alongside FC Tokyo, Ulsan Hyundai and Shanghai Shenhua, Tony Popovic’s side will open with an away fixture against last season’s J-League runners-up, FC Tokyo, on Tuesday 18 February.
Under AFC Champions League regulations, three non-Australian players are permitted in the squad, with Diego Castro, Bruno Fornaroli and Greg Wuthrich filling those slots for Glory.
Kim Soo-beom as an Asian player, meanwhile, is exempt from the non-Australian rule and Dane Ingham is not classified as an overseas player due to the fact that he holds dual Australian and New Zealand citizenship.
15-year-old PGFC Academy product, Joshua Rawlins is included, as are recent signings Vince Lia, Tarek Elrich, Daniel Margush and Carlo Armiento.
The squad was submitted in accordance with AFC registration regulations and injured players can be replaced during the next registration window.
