The PGFC Academy First Team remain a chance to make the 2024 NPL Night Series semi-finals as they head into this Friday’s final group stage game against Floreat Athena at Bayswater City’s Frank Drago Reserve (6:30pm kick-off).
John Walmsley’s side secured their first victory of the pre-season tournament last Friday, GJ Prinsloo, Jaylan Pearman, Royie Rahamim and Manolo Veneracion all finding the net as they edged out Perth SC 4-3 in a thriller at Dorrien Gardens.
That result means that Glory could still secure the top two finish required to make the semi-finals if they beat Floreat on Friday and results elsewhere in Group B go their way.
Victory for Bayswater City over Fremantle City and a draw between Stirling Macedonia and Perth SC, would see the youngsters go through as long as they secure three points themselves.
