Academy First Team off the mark in Night Series

The PGFC Academy First Team collected their first point of the 2024 NPL WA Night Series when they fought out a creditable 1-1 draw with Stirling Macedonia at Dorrien Gardens on Friday evening.

Giovanni De Abreu grabbed Glory’s goal as the youngsters went toe-to-toe with a Stirling side which is expected to be among the title race front-runners when the regular NPL WA season gets underway next month.

Glory’s Night Series section, Group B, is currently topped by Bayswater City who have secured two wins and a draw from their three outings to date.

The Academy First Team return to action on Friday 16 February, once again at Dorrien Gardens, where they will face Perth SC who are currently unbeaten in the competition having picked up one win and two draws.

Kick-off is at 8:30pm, with Glory’s fixture preceded by a Group A meeting between Balcatta Etna and Olympic Kingsway which gets underway at 6:30pm.

Do get along and support the lads if you can!
