10,000 members!
Perth Glory is delighted to confirm that the club has passed the 10,000 members-mark for the first time in its history.
To put this remarkable achievement into context, there were 4060 members in 2012, since when Glory has been the only Hyundai A-League club to record year-on-year membership growth.
Engagement with the football community and Football West is the foundation upon which this consistent growth has been built, notably through the Grassroots to Glory and Footballers Go Free programs.
Grassroots to Glory, now in its sixth season, is widely regarded as the benchmark in junior engagement programs and has seen the club connect with over 65,000 registered participants.
Footballers Go Free, meanwhile, has been run for the past four years during the FFA-driven ‘Play Football’ period and has re-engaged 10,000 members of the football family with Glory and the game in general.
Significant improvements to fulfilment and membership services saw the club go from third to first in terms of member satisfaction in the independent Hyundai A-League club audits of 2015/16 and 2016/17 and as Glory Chief Executive Tony Pignata was quick to point out, there is a firm commitment to continue that improvement and exceed the high standards already in place.
“Reaching 10,000 members is a fantastic achievement for the club,” he said, “and I’d like to thank each and every person who has renewed or joined us for the first time.
“Members are the lifeblood of the club; there simply would not be a Perth Glory without them and we are committed to continue listening to their feedback and improving what we offer them.
“With our Hyundai A-League and Westfield W-League teams producing impressive results on the field, it is clear that club is also taking significant steps forward off it and we will be working hard to maintain and increase that level of progress in the coming months and years.”
