The Football Federation Australia (FFA) independent Disciplinary & Ethics Committee – comprising of Lachlan Gyles SC (Acting Chair), Shaun McCarthy and Robert Wheatley (the Committee) – convened to consider an incident referred to it involving Perth Glory Player, Dino Djulbic (the Player).

The incident took place in or around the 91st minute of Perth Glory’s  Round 12 Hyundai A-League Match against Melbourne City FC on Tuesday, 27 December 2016.

As the Player was expelled from the match by the Referee, the Match Review Panel (MRP) considered the incident on Wednesday, 28 December 2016.

The MRP determined that the Playercommitted the offence of “Assault on a player (e.g. violent conduct when not challenging for the ball) including an attempted Assault on a Player” and proposed a sanction of three (3) matches.

Glory defender Dino Djulbic is shown a red card in the 3-3 draw with Melbourne City.

The matter was referred to the Committee by the Player on the sole question of sanction.

The Committee has reserved their determination.
