Perth Glory is delighted to announce that it has secured Bendigo North Perth Community Bank and Bendigo Bank as a club sponsor for the Hyundai A-League 2019/20 Season.
Established more than 160 years ago, Bendigo Bank remains one of Australia’s most recognised and trusted financial institutions, with a proud tradition for local community engagement.
The Bendigo North Perth Community Bank also retains close links with Perth Glory through its Chairman and Owner, Nick Catania.
During his time as Mayor of the Town of Vincent, Mr Catania was a driving force behind the redevelopment of Glory’s home at HBF Park (then-Perth Oval) and his efforts are acknowledged by a plaque located inside the stadium’s main entrance.
“At Bendigo North Perth Community Bank we sponsor a lot of sporting organisations and medical research and at a personal level, it’s great to be reacquainted with Perth Glory and HBF Park,” he said.
“It’s a bit nostalgic because it takes me back to another time when I worked closely with the State Government to drive the redevelopment of Perth Oval into the fantastic stadium that we see today.
“As a community bank, we are community-owned and we have to responsibly spend their money.
“One of the areas we have identified in which to do that is sport which breeds a healthy society and community and we can continue to do that via this partnership with Perth Glory.
“We are looking forward to what we hope will be many more years of association with the club.”
Perth Glory Chief Executive Officer Tony Pignata, meanwhile, believes that Bendigo Bank’s community focus makes it a perfect fit for the club.
“Bendigo Bank shares our commitment to helping create a happier, healthier community,” he said, “and it is fantastic to have them on board as a sponsor.
“Mr Catania played an influential role in Perth Glory’s past and Bendigo North Perth Community Bank will now share in what we are confident will be its exciting and successful future.”
The sponsorship agreement will see Bendigo North Perth Community Bank and Bendigo Bank signage installed at HBF Park, plus a series of pre-game activations and Glory In Business membership.
