Trawling through the Glory picture archive is always an enjoyable experience, especially when you stumble across something unexpected.
And today’s Retro Corner shot certainly falls into that category.
By all accounts, the Glory Legends side featured took on their Roar counterparts in early December 2009 as a curtain-raiser ahead of the Round 17 clash with the Queenslanders at what was then known as ME Bank Stadium.
That Hyundai A-League game ended in a 1-1 draw with a goal from Jamie Harnwell cancelling out Luke DeVere’s opener for the visitors.
But despite carrying out work for the club at the time, the reason this Legends game took place, or indeed, any details of it, seem to have been erased from my memory bank.
