Glory girls seek retribution

Perth Glory Women are determined to turn the tables on their highly rated opponents this weekend after Sydney inflicted a first round defeat on Glory in the historic opening fixture of the Westfield W-League.

Perth Glory Women are determined to turn the tables on their highly rated opponents this weekend after Sydney inflicted a first round defeat on Glory in the historic opening fixture of the Westfield W-League.

The Sky Blues proved too powerful and experienced for the young Glory side that day however the Perth side will certainly be a much tougher proposition this time around having pushed the likes of Canberra United and Queensland Roar all the way in recent weeks.

Key midfielder Ella Mastrantonio will return from suspension to bolster the Perth midfield, whilst hard working defender Emily Dunn also returns after a two week absence with an ankle injury.

The young Glory side has adjusted well to the physicality of opposition teams and will be boosted by the absence of Sydney-s Heather Garriock, who tormented the Glory in Round 1 and fellow Matilda Sarah Walsh who are both suffering injuries.

The Glory are eyeing off an upset and making a positive move up the ladder.
