Perth Glory-s inaugural Glorious Fourz day was a huge success with over twenty five teams entering the small sided games event.
Over 125 juniors across three different age groups got involved in a fantastic day of football as part of Perth Glory and Chicken Treat-s together in the community programs.
Participating teams included those from as far north as Heathridge and as far south as Mandurah. Lots of entertaining football was played throughout the day with players enjoying the 4 versus 4 concepts, which allowed each individual to make their own decisions, execute tricks, skills, clever passes and benefit from constant involvement in the game.
Each player received a Chicken Treat showbag including a Perth Glory poster, stickers, membership application, Chicken Treat football, certificate and a Chicken Treat food voucher. Some outstanding teams who displayed the best attitude throughout the day received a ticket to a Perth Glory home game.
“It was a Glorious morning and absolutely brilliant to see the junior footballers enjoying their football!” said Perth Glory community officer and former player Adrian Webster.
“I was surprised and very satisfied with the enthusiasm the junior footballers played with, they were a joy to watch and a pleasure to coach,” said community development manager Callum Salmon.
Perth Glory will be running more Glorious Fourz events in the future, with the next date scheduled for December to be confirmed soon. Stay tuned to the Perth Glory website for details.
