Day three of Perth Glory’s tour of South Africa was all about hard work as the players were given grueling sessions in the morning and the afternoon.

A two-hour field session at 10am was followed by a double session at the Kgosi Leruo high performance centre.

With a game today (Wednesday), Perth Glory coach Ian Ferguson stressed the training camp is not about the results in the three games against South African opposition.

“Its all about building the players up to be ready for the Hyundai A-League season,” he said.

“We are physically testing the squad and increasing their work loads.

“They will be fatigued for the games.

“The results are secondary, right now our priority is getting the players into shape.”

The coaches view was echoed by Evan Berger

“This is what training camps are all about,” Berger said.
