Perth Glory wishes to advise that Mr Paul Kelly will stand down as the club-s Chief Executive effective from January 2, 2013.

Mr Kelly assumed the role of Chief Executive in January 2010 and during his reign oversaw the club through two Hyundai A-League Finals Series, and the 2012 Grand Final.

Mr Kelly says he leaves his position satisfied, having brought Perth Glory to a position of stability and sustainability for the future.

“It-s three years to the day that I gave Tony Sage a commitment to assist the game I love,” Mr Kelly said.

“I feel now is the right time to hand the reins over,”

Mr Kelly presided over a difficult and challenging financial environment, but is pleased Perth Glory has made significant inroads towards becoming a financial viable stable model for the long term.

“The club was on its knees three years ago but Perth Glory can now look to future with real positivity.

“I-m also satisfied with the exceptional community and development program we developed,” Mr Kelly added

Perth Glory Chairman and Owner Mr Tony Sage was full of praise for Mr Kelly-s contribution.

“ I wish to thank Paul sincerely for his service and contribution to our club,” Mr Sage said.

“He has played a significant role in an important time in the history of this great football club.

“I look forward to continuing to work with Paul on the advisory board of the club to further help grow the club and the sport.

“I wish Paul the best of luck for the future and look forward to seeing him at all our home games.”

Perth Glory Deputy Chairman, Mr Lui Giuliani will take the role as interim Chief Executive

“Going forward, the most difficult issue still facing the club remains our unresolved position with nib Stadium,” Mr Sage added.
