Perth Glory is delighted to announce that major sponsor Macron has signed a new four-year sponsorship deal with the club as its official apparel partner.
The new contract sees Europe’s fourth-largest apparel brand committed to Perth Glory until the end of Hyundai A-League season 2020-21. Perth Glory Chief Executive Officer Peter Filopoulos has declared it a coup for the club.
“We are really pleased to have renewed our association with Macron for another four years, which will bring the relationship to eight years strong.” said Filopoulos.
“We’re proud to be associated with a global football brand like Macron.”
Macron is rapidly becoming one of the top football apparel brands in the world, supporting the likes of European clubs Sporting Lisbon, Nice, PAOK Thessaloniki, Hajduk Split, Lazio, Vitesse Arnhem as well as Audax Italiano, Miami FC and Crystal Palace FC. The Bologna-based company also is the apparel sponsor of Glory’s Hyundai A-League rivals Adelaide United.
Macron Australia and New Zealand Chief Executive Officer David King spoke highly of the club and the positive impact the relationship had brought to the brand.
“The relationship we have formed with the club is truly special. When we first signed with Perth Glory, we shared with Anthony Radich (Chief Operations Officer) and Lucy Sage (Merchandise Manager) a long term vision of growth together. Our strong commitment to one another has brought about significant growth but most importantly credibility for the Macron brand in Australasia,” King stated.
“We have grown significantly in grassroots and now have 30 National Premier League clubs Australia-wide. Perth Glory have played a very big part in that”
Macron have crafted various kits for Glory over the years, including fan-designed, sponsor themed and commemorative alternate jerseys. Most importantly, this year Macron will design their third home kit for Perth Glory, to be adorned by the boys from the West for two more seasons.
King and Filopoulos remained tight-lipped on any specific details of the new jersey but praised the 2017-18 design.
“My favourite Glory kit will be next years,” King said. “I’ve seen it and it looks very fresh.”
“Fans can continue to expect another great range of good-looking and high quality product which has become synonymous with Macron” Filopoulos stated.
