Perth Glory’s skippers for the 2026/27 A-Leagues Season were announced during this evening’s glittering Season Launch/30th Anniversary Event held at the WA Museum Boola Bardip.
Tom Lawrence will captain the Men’s team in what is his second season with the club and Glory Women will once again be led by Isobel Dalton.
32-year-old Lawrence previously skippered one of his former clubs, Derby County and brings a wealth of experience having made more than 400 appearances in the UK and won 23 senior caps for Wales.
2025 Most Glorious Player Award winner Dalton, meanwhile, will captain Glory Women for a third season having chalked up 55 appearances in purple since arriving at the club in 2023.
Glory CEO Ben Leaver believes that Lawrence and Dalton will provide excellent leadership on and off the field.
“We’re delighted to have confirmed Tom and Izzy as our captains for 2026/27,” he said.
“They are players who are highly respected by their teammates and demonstrate the attributes every squad needs to be successful.
“We are confident that both of our squads will enjoy strong seasons this year and Tom and Izzy will play key roles in driving standards in their respective playing groups, while also representing this proud club superbly off the field.”
Both Glory teams are set to get their 2026/27 A-League campaigns underway this coming Saturday when the Women visit Newcastle Jets (kick-off at 12pm WST) and the Men travel to Macarthur FC (kick-off at 2pm WST).
