Perth Glory is delighted to announce that young winger Sebastian Kukucka has been added to the club’s A-League Men’s squad.
The 18-year-old arrives from Sydney Olympic for whom he made 17 appearances in the NPL NSW competition this year, scoring four goals and adding one assist.
Having spent an extensive trial period with Glory, he is now looking forward to making an impression at A-League level.
“I’m really excited to be joining Perth Glory as it’s been a goal of mine to achieve a move to an A-League side,” he said.
“Being a youngster in the squad, I feel that I’ve got a lot to prove, but I’m confident in my ability as a player to get the job done.
“This year I’d love to reach Finals as we have the capacity to do so and I want to be a key player in this squad.
“In the short time I’ve been here, I’ve already been able to learn a lot from the senior players and I only see myself improving from this point.”
Glory Football Director Stan Lazaridis has been impressed by what he has seen from Kukucka and believes he is ready to make an immediate impact.
“We’d been watching Sebastian for some time and when he came in on trial, he confirmed immediately what a good player he is,” he said.
“He’s extremely quick, can play out wide on either side of the pitch, has great delivery with his left foot in particular and even though he’s still young, he’s physically very robust.
“We’ve been looking to inject more pace into the squad and Sebastian definitely provides that.
“He’s an exciting young player with a high ceiling and we’re looking forward to seeing him develop with us this season.”
